There are direct flights from Istanbul to Bukhara twice a week. Participants arriving at Bukhara Airport will be welcomed upon arrival.
No transportation or accommodation costs will be covered for in-person participants. However, those who request assistance with hotel reservations can receive support, but they must cover the cost themselves. The daily cost of staying in a traditional boutique hotel in Bukhara is around $40-45. Since the symposium will take place during Bukhara’s peak tourism season, hotel prices may increase. Therefore, booking in advance is highly recommended.
Another option is to travel via Tashkent. The high-speed train from Tashkent to Bukhara takes about four hours. However, train tickets should be purchased early, as finding a seat in May can be difficult. Participants needing help with travel arrangements can receive assistance.
